it is a pleasure for me to welcome you on the virtual portal of the Baltic Environ- mental Forum (BEF) Group. We are a network of five non-governmental, non-profit organizations in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, and Russia, jointly engaged in environmental protection around the Baltic Sea, but also beyond. We work in a broad range of environmental fields, covering such topics as nature conservation, chemicals, urban environment, waste and waste management. Finding solutions for environmental challenges for us means: to have a holistic and comprehensive approach – across topics and across borders.
